EDITORIAL MEET THE MAYOR.

JULIE Wong, the spokeswoman for Mayor James Hahn, says that one of her boss's top priorities is ``listening to people in neighborhoods.''

Soon, he'll get his chance.

Starting June 13, Hahn will host Meet the Mayor sessions, the first in Van Nuys. Twenty randomly selected, average Angelenos will get 10 minutes each to tell Hahn what they really think about how Los Angeles is run. Those who don't get to talk to him personally will get to meet with some of his staff.

Although Hahn has been unable to attract crowds of more than 50 for his anti-secession rallies, these dialogues should bring in hundreds if not thousands of participants.

The mayor deserves to know what you think - and you deserve the chance to tell him.
