WE are richer -- and poorer -- than the rest of California and the nation. We are more likely to be foreign-born, to have long commutes, to stay in school and to stay married.

We've just begun to get our first statistical glimpse of this great community, and after the 2010 Census, we should have a clearer picture than ever.
