He called his critics liars, and loyal friends stuck out their necks to proclaim his innocence. In Judaism both the Bible and rabbinical thought reflect the belief that God's chosen people must be pure to remain in communion with God. with a book deal. He is alienating even his truest fans, and ensuring that he will be remembered not for his heroics on the field, but for his antics off it - antics that have already tarnished the game. With a legacy like that, Rose has no place in baseball today, let alone in the Hall of Fame. |
