EDITORIAL CELEBRATION TIME.


LOS Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County turns 150 on Friday. It's time It's Time was a successful political campaign run by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) under Gough Whitlam at the 1972 election in Australia. Campaigning on the perceived need for change after 23 years of conservative (Liberal Party of Australia) government, Labor put forward a  to celebrate.

And what better way than holding free open houses at the county's public facilities, such as Descanso Gardens Descanso Gardens is a 160-acre botanical garden and historical site located at 1418 Descanso Drive, La CaƱada Flintridge, California, USA. Situated in a natural “bowl” in the San Rafael Hills, this calming, urban retreat is just 14 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.  in La Canada Flintridge, and at the county's four museums.

The supervisors also voted to extend an amnesty period for overdue OVERDUE. A bill, note, bond or other contract, for the payment of money at a particular day, when not paid upon the day, is overdue.

L.A. County has grown from a small Spanish settlement in the 1780s to the largest county in the nation with a population of 9.8 million.

The public should take advantage of this rare opportunity to explore the county's finest treasures for free this coming weekend.
