EDITORIAL BADGES OF SHAME.


DOES a badge qualify as a smoking gun?

That's the question That's the Question is an American quiz game show on GSN, hosted by game show veteran and former Entertainment Tonight reporter, Bob Goen, which premiered in October 2006.  faced by district attorney officials investigating the Entertainment Industry Development Corp. and its former president, Cody Cluff.

Cluff and his associates claim that spending EIDC funds lavishly on themselves and on political campaigns wasn't illegal because the EIDC was a private, and not a public agency. But the D.A. argues that its latest piece of evidence - official city badges seized from EIDC offices - shows otherwise.

Maybe. But with or without the badges, the EIDC has always been a quasi-public agency. It was formed by the city and county governments, whose elected officials sit on its governing board Noun 1. governing board - a board that manages the affairs of an institution
board - a committee having supervisory powers; "the board has seven members"
. It assumed government duties by issuing film permits.

The badges only corroborate To support or enhance the believability of a fact or assertion by the presentation of additional information that confirms the truthfulness of the item.
