EDITORIAL A LITTLE MORE RAIN.


LET the rain come. In drips, please.

If we have to endure any more drizzly driz·zle

With nearly 36 inches of rainfall so far this season, we have the distinction of surviving the second-wettest year ever. Barely 2 inches more for the record.

The storms of 2005 have already achieved legendary status by claiming lives, shutting down freeways, decimating communities, undermining homes on hillsides and generally making life a damp and mucky muck

1. A moist sticky mixture, especially of mud and filth.

3. Dark fertile soil containing decaying vegetable matter.

4. Something filthy or disgusting.
 nightmare for everyone in the region.

Of course, no one wants to see more of those tragedies.

But still, let the rain come, drip by drip. We've got until June 30 to reach 38.18 inches of rain, and at least then we can brag that we survived the worst rains in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  history.
