EDITORIAL : WAS THIS TRIP NECESSARY?Taxpayers have come to expect and even approve a certain number of perks for elected officials so long as the perks pertain to pertain to verb relate to, concern, refer to, regard, be part of, belong to, apply to, bear on, befit, be relevant to, be appropriate to, appertain to the job. For example, it is not unreasonable for board members of the Castaic Lake Castaic Lake is a lake on Castaic Creek formed by Castaic Dam, in northwestern Los Angeles County, California, near the town of Castaic. Businesses everywhere are cutting back on travel expenses, especially for trips (like this one) that have an R&R element. It's time for the water agency to show the same restraint. |
