EDITORIAL : TIME FOR A CHANGE; USC NEEDS A NEW COACH TO RESTORE ITS FOOTBALL GLORY.

IT'S time It's Time was a successful political campaign run by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) under Gough Whitlam at the 1972 election in Australia. Campaigning on the perceived need for change after 23 years of conservative (Liberal Party of Australia) government, Labor put forward a  for USC football USC football refers to either of two NCAA Division I-A college football programs:
  • Southern California Trojans of the Pacific Ten Conference
  • South Carolina Gamecocks of the Southeastern Conference
coach John Robinson Several notable individuals have been named John Robinson: Politicians
  • John Robinson (1650-1723) (1650-1723), English diplomat; later Bishop of Bristol from 1710 and Lord Privy Seal from 1711-1713
to say goodbye to Traveler, the Trojans' horse mascot, and take a vacation.

Robinson has lost the Midas touch. The Trojans are 2-3 in the won-loss column and their lackluster play symbolizes a downward trend that won't turn around without new leadership.

And Robinson knows the truth, acknowledging as much Tuesday when he tried valiantly to buy time to turn things around.

``I'm a really good football coach who's not doing very well right now,'' Robinson said Tuesday. ``If I don't do "I Don't Do" was the debut single by glamour model Michelle Marsh, released on 6 November 2006. The single reached 27 in the UK in its first week, selling only 9,000 copies and over 16,000 copies as of January 2007. The single spend a total of four weeks in the Top 75.  better, then I will step aside.''

Robinson has heard the clock ticking down the final seconds long enough. It's time to break the news to him that the final gun has sounded, the game is over.

The University of Southern California The U.S. News & World Report ranked USC 27th among all universities in the United States in its 2008 ranking of "America's Best Colleges", also designating it as one of the "most selective universities" for admitting 8,634 of the almost 34,000 who applied for freshman admission  has a long and cherished winning tradition at football. The Trojans for many years were the only home-grown, big-time sports attraction in all of Southern California. The Trojans were the toast of the town long before the Dodgers, the Lakers, the Kings, the Clippers and those upstarts from Westwood arrived on the scene.

The decline of Trojan football is more than a loss for the university and the grads who make up what they call the Trojan family. It's a blow for a city that has endured entirely too many setbacks in recent years.

The Trojans' losing ways are all the more distressing in light of the high expectations for them at the beginning of the season. The USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code.  media guide boasted that the Trojans had three bona fide [Latin, In good faith.] Honest; genuine; actual; authentic; acting without the intention of defrauding.

A bona fide purchaser is one who purchases property for a valuable consideration that is inducement for entering into a contract and without suspicion of being
All-America candidates plus four potential all-Pacific 10 selections.

Robinson, 62, had great success in his first stint as USC football coach from 1976 to 1982. But he clearly has lost his touch since returning to USC in 1992 after nine years with the (Los Angeles-Anaheim-St. Louis) Rams.

Granted, a case can be made that all Robinson needs is a few more good players. But USC cannot be successful in recruiting top talent if it is perceived as a loser, a program in decline.
