And, oh yeah, take a moment to remember America's war dead. Catch your breath and take a moment longer. Once again, the nation is on a war footing and lives of American men and women are on the line. Think about them this day and all those in harm's way harm's way n. A risky position; danger: a place for the children that is out of harm's way; ships that sail into harm's way. throughout our history as you enjoy the freedom and pleasure of this weekend. Although the day was set aside to officially reflect on the sacrifices of Americans who gave their lives in battle, more people see it as the kickoff to a summer season of fun. Revelers head for the airport almost as quickly as they head for the beach, making Memorial Day weekend one of the busiest travel periods of the year for airlines.
