To present as a gift to a fund or cause; contribute. v.intr. To make a contribution to a fund or cause. to give little children in need a merry Christmas. You filched from kids who have so little that it makes your crime an offense to humanity. You tried to steal Christmas, but you lost. Your crime brought out the goodness in hundreds of people who brought 600 new toys and $3,500 in cash and checks to the shelter within hours of reading about your crime in the Daily News.
