EDISON OFFERS TWO WAYS TO SAVE ON POWER BILLS.

PALMDALE Palmdale, city (1990 pop. 68,842), Los Angeles co., S Calif., in the irrigated Antelope Valley; a growing residential suburb of Los Angeles near Little Rock Creek where it forms Lake Palmdale Reservoir, inc. 1962.  - Southern California Edison Southern California Edison (or SCE Corp), the largest subsidiary of Edison International (NYSE: EIX), is the primary electricity supply company for much of Southern California. It provides 11 million people with electricity.  customers can reduce their summertime electric bills by reducing power usage in two programs, the utility said.

Customers can sign up for the Summer Discount Plan or get lower bills through the 20/20 Summer Savings Program.

The 20/20 program, which does not require formal enrollment, is available to qualifying residential customers and small businesses that use less than 200 kilowatts of electricity.

With the 20/20 program, customers who reduce their average daily energy use by 20 percent from June 5 through Oct. 2 compared to the same period in 2004 will pay 20 percent less on the remaining summer bill charges.

There are two residential Summer Discount Plans available.

Indoor air is conditioned and regulated to maintain the temperature-humidity ratio that is most comfortable and healthful.  a maximum of 15 cycling times per year. The enhanced plan provides twice the base credit amount but turns off the air conditioner an unlimited number of times per year.

The air conditioner is controlled by a small, radio-controlled ``cycling'' device installed by an Edison worker on the air conditioner.

Customers who want specific program information can visit www.sce.com and click the icon for ``Rebates & Savings.''

The Web site also provides a free home energy survey.
