ECR IS ALL BUSINESS AS IT STRIVES FOR FIVE.

Byline: Erik Boal Special to the Daily News

On the eve On the Eve (Накануне in Russian) is the third novel by famous Russian writer Ivan Turgenev, best known for his short stories and the novel Fathers and Sons.  of the biggest game of their season, and perhaps the most significant contest in program history, the members of the El Camino Real El Camino Real (Spanish for The Royal Road or The King's Highway) was the name of a series of pre-automobile highways linking the various New World colonies of Spain:

With music from the adjacent baseball diamond keeping the mood light, and the intrasquad scrimmage being limited to half the field, the Conquistadores enjoyed every moment of their last practice.

soccer isn't ECR soccer,'' said Zwoyer, who, with senior forward Nikki Walberg, will be bidding for her fourth title - a feat accomplished by only two other Conquistadores, Kandice McLaughlin and Jennifer Stadheim.

``We have a lot of pride in this team, and this is an awesome thing to be a part of. It's exciting to get an opportunity to play (in the final) again because it's the thing we've worked for the past six months.''

Top-seeded El Camino Real (19-3-1), riding an 18-game unbeaten streak, is attempting to match Chatsworth's record of five consecutive titles, set in 1989-93 and again in 1996-2000. Tenth-seeded Palisades, making its first appearance in the section final, is bidding to become the lowest seed to win the championship.

``They know this is big, because Chatsworth is the only team ever to (win five titles in a row), and that's in their minds, as much as we try to get it out. But that's just the facts,'' said El Camino Real coach Shanna Sarris, whose team has won 22 consecutive playoff games Noun 1. playoff game - one game in the series of games constituting a playoff

``But everyone on this team doesn't want to walk off the field losing this game.''

After losing its playoff opener to Palisades, No. 23 Cleveland of Reseda (5-8-3) has won three in a row to reach the Invitational in·vi·ta·tion·al
