Special optical solutions have been specifically designed and developed by ECI Telecom for Deutsche Telekom's networks that enable transmission of traffic over long distances of up to 110 km, substantially reducing the amount of regenerators and eliminating the need of optical power booster equipment between each ADM See add/drop multiplexer.
