(AMEX AMEX See: American Stock Exchange :ECC) announced today that it has achieved Milestone III for the Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 (EST EST electroshock therapy. EST abbr. electroshock therapy 2000) program. Achievement of this milestone allows the program to transition from low rate to full rate production and affirms the commitment of the U.S. Army to deploy the EST 2000 system. The EST 2000 is the only small arms small arms, firearms designed primarily to be carried and fired by one person and, generally, held in the hands, as distinguished from heavy arms, or artillery. Early Small Arms The first small arms came into general use at the end of the 14th cent. weapons training system validated by the U.S. Army Infantry School. The U.S. Army Simulation and Training Command ("STRICOM STRICOM Simulation Training and Instrumentation Command STRICOM Simulation, Training & Instrumentation Command (US Army) ") awarded the initial EST 2000 contract in November 1998. This assistance differs from the Military Assistance Program and the International Military Education and Training Program program. Under the current EST 2000 contract, ECC is delivering training systems to the U.S. Army, National Guard and Army Reserve forces. Deliveries have begun on the 76 systems currently on contract and will complete in August 2001. The EST 2000 is the most accurate fielded training system which supports 11 different weapons including rifles, pistols, machineguns, shotguns, anti-tank, and grenade launchers
