has acquired Salem Press, a producer of reference materials for the
library market. No terms were given. Salem Press was represented in the
deal by Berkery, Noyes & Co. (New York). Salem Press (Hackensack,
NJ/Pasadena, CA) is the publisher of reference works on literature,
history, the social sciences, medicine, including pediatrics, geriatrics geriatrics (jĕrēă`trĭks), the branch of medicine concerned with conditions and diseases of the aged. Many disabilities in old age are caused by or related to the deterioration of the circulatory system (see arteriosclerosis), e.g. and genetics, and the law for distribution to college, school and public
libraries. EBSCO EBSCO Elton B. Stephens Company aggregates and produces nearly 300 full-text and
secondary research databases that include journals, magazines, books,
monographs, reports and various other publication types. The
company's product line include DynaMed, Business Source, INSPEC INSPEC Information Service for Physics, Electronics, and Computing ,
MEDLINE The online medical database of the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) whose parent is the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. MEDLINE contains millions of articles from thousands of medical journals and publications. The consumer section of the site (http://medlineplus. , PsycArticles, EconLit, MasterFile and Academic Search, among
others.
