EAST TIMOR.Militia Attacks on the Rise Briefing the Security Council on 29 September, the head of the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor The United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET) provided an interim civil administration and a peacekeeping mission in the territory of East Timor. The Council underlined that UNTAET should respond "robustly" to the militia threat, which has been on the rise over the past few months.
