EARL MONROE, IAN EAGLE TO APPEAR AT IKEA ON NOV. 26

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., Nov. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Earl "The Pearl" Monroe, who played for the New York Knicks from 1971-80, and Ian Eagle, host of WFAN's New York Giants pre- and post-game shows, will be appearing at IKEA's holiday kickoff this weekend.
Eagle will interview Monroe, who was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1990. During the visit Monroe will also be signing autographed pictures and answering questions from fans at the IKEA store in Elizabeth, N.J., on Friday, Nov. 26, from 3 to 5 p.m.
"I recently went to IKEA for some new furniture," said Monroe, who just remodeled his office. He certainly had plenty to choose from at IKEA, with more than 7,500 quality items for any room, in a variety of styles.
This is also the first anniversary of the activation of the Urban Enterprise Zone in Elizabeth, which enables IKEA Elizabeth to charge only 3 percent sales tax to their customers. These funds are then channeled directly to the city of Elizabeth for development projects.
