), today launched its first subscription-based premium content bundle, the EA SPORTS(TM) Service. With an introductory price of $4.99 per month, the service offers three exclusively licensed games for online play, including NASCAR NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing), organization that sanctions American stock-car races, est. 1948. Sports fans can check out each of these richly authentic Internet-based games in a single-player demo mode for free at www.easportsservice.com. When subscribing to the EA SPORTS Service, players will have access to multi-player versions of these adrenaline pumping sports experiences with the capability of challenging opponents anywhere on the Internet who also subscribe to the service. Exclusively available at EA.com, as well as AOL's Games Channel and AOL Web properties CompuServe.com, Netscape.com and ICQ ("I Seek You") A conferencing program for the Internet from Mirabilis, Tel Aviv, Israel (www.icq.com). It provides interactive chat, e-mail and file transfer and can alert you when someone on your predefined list has also come online. .com, the EA SPORTS Service games do not require users to purchase any additional packaged goods or browser disk software in order to enjoy great head-to-head sports action.

About the Games

NASCAR(R) Web Racing: NASCAR fans can get behind the wheel and go bumper-to-bumper with the best drivers on the Internet circuit. Players can select from 16 signature cars and drivers and compete on five NASCAR-sanctioned tracks such as The Atlanta Motor Speedway Atlanta Motor Speedway (formerly Atlanta International Raceway) is a superspeedway in Hampton, Georgia, twenty miles (32 km) south of Atlanta. It is a 1.54-mile (2.48 km) quad-oval track with a seating capacity of over 125,000. It opened in 1960 as a 1.5 mile standard oval. (TM), Pocono Raceway(R) or the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located in Clark County, Nevada, just outside Las Vegas, is a 1,200 acre (4.9 km²) complex of four different tracks for automobile racing. The complex is owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc., which is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.  in their pursuit to become the top driver on the Web. Up to 16 drivers whip around turns at top speeds, while capacity crowds cheer them on. Get too close to the wall though and you'll pay for it in your car's performance, paint job and position. This game requires strategy and guts as you try to edge out the competition in single- or multi-player modes.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(R) Golf: Grab your clubs and tee off as or against Tiger Woods and three other PGA TOUR players on some of the most prestigious courses on the TOUR, including Pebble Beach Golf Links Pebble Beach Golf Links is one of several well known courses in Pebble Beach, California and probably the most famous golf course in the Western United States. EA.com will be adding to the subscription's content in the coming months with games based on other popular EA SPORTS franchises.
