 Co. received a contract for system design and development (S & D) of the EA-18G, an airborne airborne /airĀ·borne/ (arĀ“born) suspended in, transported by, or spread by air.

adj carried through the air. In health care settings, viruses or bacteria may become airborne, e.g.
 electronic attack aircraft based on the F/A-18F. The five-year S & D program runs from FY 04 until FY 09, and includes laboratory, ground testing and flight testing.
