[Listed in CACM 2(5):16, May 1959]. Co. received a contract for system design and development (S & D) of the EA-18G, an airborne airborne /air·borne/ (ar´born) suspended in, transported by, or spread by air.

airborne,
adj carried through the air. In health care settings, viruses or bacteria may become airborne, e.g. electronic attack aircraft based on the F/A-18F. The five-year S & D program runs from FY 04 until FY 09, and includes laboratory, ground testing and flight testing.
