EA Laboratories Awarded Dredging Analysis Contract to Support the Port Authority of NY/NJ.

: EACO EACO Emmanuel Alliance Church of Ottawa (Canada) ), announced the award of a contract to conduct sediment testing for the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey.

The contract was let through IT Corp. EA Laboratories, a division of EA Engineering, Science, and Technology Inc., will perform significant analytical support on dredged materials from sites in and around Howland Hook, N.J. Sediments are being tested for ultimate deposition in coal pits in the Newark Bay Confined Disposal Facility and/or an upland disposal site.

Any of a class of highly stable organic compounds prepared by the reaction of chlorine with biphenyl, a two-ring compound.
 cogeners, semi-volatiles, dioxins, cyanide, and various metals. EA is also performing Sediment Precipitation Leaching Procedures (SPLPs).

In conducting these analyses, EA Laboratories is following New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) is a government agency in the U.S. state of New Jersey that is responsible for managing the state's natural resources and addressing issues related to pollution. NJDEP now has a staff of approximately 3,400.  (NJDEP NJDEP New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection ) documentation entitled, "Management and Regulations of Dredging Activities and Dredged Materials in New Jersey Tidal Waters." EA Laboratories is reporting to the New Jersey detection limits.
