E. I. du Pont de Nemours Du Pont de Ne·mours   , Pierre Samuel 1739-1817.

French-born economist and politician who took part in negotiations after the American Revolution (1783) and in the acquisition of the Louisiana Territory (1803).
and Company (Wilmington, DE) and Genencor International, Inc. (Palo Alto, CA) have patented recombinant organisms comprising genes encoding aquacobalamin reductase reductase /re·duc·tase/ (-tas) a term used in the names of some of the oxidoreductases, usually specifically those catalyzing reactions important solely for reduction of a metabolite. , cob(II)alamin reductase, cob(I)alamin adenosyltransferase, glycerol dehydratase dehydratase /de·hy·dra·tase/ (de-hi´drah-tas) a common name for a hydro-lyase.

de·hy·dra·tase
n.
and 1,3-propanediol oxidoreductase oxidoreductase /ox·i·do·re·duc·tase/ (ok?si-do-re-duk´tas) any of a class of enzymes that catalyze the reversible transfer of electrons from a substrate that becomes oxidized to one that becomes reduced (oxidation-reduction, or redox  activities useful for the production of 1,3-propanediol from a variety of carbon substrates. More specifically the following nucleotide sequences are provided: btuR, encoding the E. coli cob(I)alamin adenosyltransferase enzyme; cobA, encoding the Salmonella typhimurium cob(I)alamin adenosyltransferase enzyme; cobO, encoding the Pseudomonas denitrificans cob(I)alamin adenosyltransferase enzyme; dhaB1, encoding the .alpha. subunit of the Klebsiella glycerol dehydratase enzyme; dhaB2, encoding the .beta. subunit of the Klebsiella glycerol dehydratase enzyme; dhaB3, encoding the .gamma. subunit of the Klebsiella glycerol dehydratase enzyme; dhaT, encoding Klebsiella oxidoreductase enzyme; the yciK gene isolated from E. coli; the glucose isomerase promoter sequence from Streptomyces Streptomyces (strĕp'təmī`sēz), bacterial genus of the order Actinomycetales, members of which resemble fungi in their branching filamentous structure. Various species produce such antibiotics as streptomycin and various tetracyclines. ; and the N-terminal amino acid sequence for cob(II)alamin reductase from Pseudomonas denitrificans. (US 7,074,608)
