E-file for corporations and exempt organizations.
For the first time, corporations and tax-exempt organizations can
e-file their income tax and information returns.
The new system--which allows tax professionals to attach documents
to returns as PDFs--began accepting electronically filed forms 1120 and
990 in February.
This is the first release in a series of planned electronic
upgrades. The IRS also is working on making it possible to e-file
federal and multistate returns in one transmission.
