E-commerce for SMEs. (High Tech).G2-group.net, a business and marketing consulting firm, recently launched www.internetstrategy.ca, a site for small- to medium-sized enterprises in Canada interested in becoming more e-commerce savvy. At the time this article was written, the site was offering free, on-demand Webcast seminars entitled "Strategic Planning for a Profitable e-Business." The Webcast, developed in conjunction with Bell Canada, offers organizations assistance in conducting focused strategic planning before launching or expanding an Internet initiative. The site also includes 20 tools meant to help demystify the process behind becoming an e-commerce-enabled business. "This Webcast seminar goes beyond traditional classroom training by providing 24/7 access to business skills improvement." says Robert Gillelan, president of G2-group.net. The content of the seminar was developed from internet strategy courses developed by the University of Toronto's Robert Gillelan and includes sessions on: strategies for a Web presence, integrating online and offline branding, e-commerce business models and implementation, as well as strategic selling and database marketing. The planning tools included in the site are meant to assist companies at different stages of Internet maturity: from successfully creating a company's first Web site, to helping efficiently plan the expansion of a site from a static information site to a transactional e-commerce site. It also deals with subjects such as integrating CRM, online procurement or other e-business applications into an organization's business process. For more information visit www.internetstrategy.ca. |
