The new company is designed to help small to medium-sized firms use technology to redefine traditional business processes. According to company officials, CON-WAY has spent tens of millions of dollars over the past several years to convert its legacy computer systems and keep the company at the leading edge of the new e-commerce environment. He has held positions as senior business consultant at RSM McGladrey, plant manager with a medical device manufacturer, and operations professional at Ralston Purina and Abbott Laboratories. Solano is a certified implementor of Ross Systems, eRenaissance and Ramco enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and has helped companies in system selection and implementation. Additionally, he is experienced in facility layout and redesign, and IQ/OQ/PQ methodology and testing. Solano earned a bachelor's of science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Buffalo and holds a master's of business administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
