AgriAmerica.com, Indianapolis, a division of the AgriAmerica Network, names Gary Truitt director of operations and hires Tim Hoskins as managing editor. AgriAmerica.com is a multimedia information portal serving Indiana agriculture.

Truitt has been director of the AgriAmerica Radio Network since its creation in 1985 and will continue in that role as well as directing the operations of the new Internet portal. The site is being designed in a partnership arrangement with Verdisys, Inc., Fresno, Calif.

Hoskins will manage the day-to-day operations and content of the site. He has extensive Web experience as an agricultural communications maior at Purdue University. Most recently, he was a staff writer for The Banner-Graphic newspaper.

EarthScan Network, Albuquerque, N.M., hires Eric Waldman as vice president, business development, Jeff Keiser as vice president, ag segment development, and Shawn Dockter as manager, channel development. Waldman previously was western regional channel manager for Space Imaging. Keister was vice president of technology and development at EasyChem, an Internet company focused on delivering agrochemicals to farmers. Dockter was an aerospace engineer on classified satellite projects for Lockheed Martin.

EarthScan Network was founded as a joint venture between Photo Research Associates and Data Transmission Network.
