E-BUSINESS PEOPLE.


The Seam, cotton's neutral business-to-business online exchange, has selected Phillip C. Burnett to become president and CEO. Burnett was previously CEO of the National Cotton Council.

The Seam's first online trade was executed on Dec. 8, 2000. To date, the company has traded more than 100,000 bales online. The Seam's future plans include offering international trading, financial and risk management services, input sales, and logistical services.

Tanna Moore is named vice president of marketing for Rooster.com, Bloomington, Minn. Moore most recently served as executive vice president at a venture-funded technology company.
