E Solutions Doubles Data Center Capacity with Acquisition Of Genuity's Tampa Assets.

TAMPA, Fla. -- E Solutions Corporation, a hosting and application development firm with Tier One data center operations, has nearly doubled its data center capacity with the acquisition of Genuity, Inc.'s Tampa assets in the wake of that company's bankruptcy and subsequent acquisition by Level 3.

Genuity had occupied a 9,060-square-foot, multimillion-dollar build-out on the seventh floor of Tampa's Park Tower. E Solutions acquired Genuity's assets from the building's owner, Sterling American Property Inc., and entered into a long-term lease for the seventh-floor space. The dollar value of the acquisition was not released.

E Solutions has occupied Park Tower's 16th floor since 2002, when it took over space originally constructed by Aperian, Inc. for $10 million. That floor houses the Company's existing Tier One, 16,000-square-foot Phase I Data Center and administrative operations.

"The expanded capacity and capabilities of the new Phase II Data Center will not only allow us, as a company, to reach out to larger organizations in need of co-location and enterprise-level hosting services, but will also support economic development in the Tampa Bay Tampa Bay, inlet of the Gulf of Mexico, 25 mi (40 km) long and 7 to 12 mi (11.3–19 km) wide, W Fla., separated from the Gulf by numerous small islands; it receives the Hillsborough River. "E Solutions is now one of only two data centers in the region with this level of capacity, and we achieved that without incurring debt or utilizing any kind of outside funding."

Adds E Solutions President Michael Morizio: "Our new Phase II Data Center shares the same high-level security, connectivity, availability and expert technical staff support as our Phase I Data Center. In fact, we're built to physically withstand most natural or man-made disasters, including Kevlar-reinforced walls, triple redundant generators, and parallel UPS systems; we have no single points of failure."

In addition to secured access from the ground floor to the elevators, access inside the Phase I and Phase II Data Centers is strictly monitored and controlled with pass cards. E Solutions' Data Centers also feature surveillance and round-the-clock monitoring, as well as state-of-the-art physical security including:
