The RTM STAR Center conducted an extensive evaluation of PC-IGs before specifying the simFUSION 4500q. The evaluation included reviews against KMSS benchmarks as well as actual trials of a number of systems. The RTM STAR Center selected the 4500q over other PC-IGs for its sustained 60 Hz update rate and ease of installation.

"The selection of the simFUSION 4500q was based on the outstanding performance it provides today and the upgrade path to the simFUSION 5000 family of products it provides as future maritime visual requirements change," said RTM STAR Center's Director Brian Long.

"We have been very pleased with the positive results achieved through the working relationships and coordination among KMSS, STAR Center, and E&S personnel," said David Fluegeman, E&S vice president of Simulation Systems Sales and Business Development.

The RTM STAR Center features advanced simulation training equipment, including 250- and 360-degree full-mission bridges, slow-speed and medium-speed diesel engine room simulators, liquid cargo, radar/ARPA, and GMDSS GMDSS Global Maritime Distress & Safety System  simulators.
