Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:ESCC) has begun shipping its next-generation PC image generator, simFUSION(R) 5000, the company announced today.

The release of the 5000, the first product in the simFUSION family to use ATI graphics acceleration technology, represents a major milestone for the industry and for the use of commercial off-the-shelf components.
