New high-speed Gigabit Ethernet Switches have been introduced by Dynamode UK, a data and networking communications products company.
The switches are available as a 28-Port (SW2404) or high-density 52-Port (SW4804) 1U high version and feature WebSmart web-based interactive setup.
Dynamode UK said both switches offer an easy-to-use set up and include features such as Virtual LAN (VLAN See virtual LAN.
VLAN - Virtual Local Area Network ), Port Trunking and Quality of Service (QoS). These enable advanced and mission-critical applications such as e-commerce and VoIP to run, with little user intervention, at maximum throughput.
Both the SW2404 and SW4804 feature Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet Ports and twin MiniGBIC slots which enable Gigabit Ethernet over Single/Multimode Fibre, up to 500 metres. No pricing information was provided.
