Dynamics research wins $26 million USAF global command and control system contract.

Dynamics Research Corporation Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ: DRCO) is a United States-based publicly held defense contractor.

DRC was founded in 1955 by a small group of engineers from the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
 (Nasdaq:DRCO) has announced that it won a five-year prime contract with an estimated value of $26 million to provide technical and acquisition support services to the U.S. Air Force's Global Command and Control System Highly mobile, deployable command and control system supporting forces for joint and multinational operations across the range of military operations, any time and anywhere in the world with compatible, interoperable, and integrated command, control, communications, computers, and  program office, part of the Electronic Systems Center. The contract, which began July 31, 2002, includes a base year award of approximately $4.4 million and four annual renewal options totaling $21.6 million over 41 months. It is the headquarters of the Electronic Systems Center (ESC), one of the product centers of the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC).  in Bedford, Massachusetts, is responsible for the development, acquisition and support of the Air Force integrated Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance may refer to:

 system being built on the Defense Information Infrastructure. DRC is one of the largest suppliers under ESC's information technology services program--evaluating system requirements, providing software development and test services, integrating products into airborne and ground weapons systems and providing management services for ESC program offices.

DRC's selection as the prime contractor for this program, combined with the company's selection as the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System prime contractor last month, reaffirms the confidence placed in DRC by ESC personnel, over many years of service," said James P. Regan, DRC chairman and chief executive officer.
