Dynamics research wins $26 million USAF global command and control system contract.

Dynamics Research Corporation (Nasdaq:DRCO) has announced that it won a five-year prime contract with an estimated value of $26 million to provide technical and acquisition support services to the U.S. Air Force's Global Command and Control System program office, part of the Electronic Systems Center. The contract, which began July 31, 2002, includes a base year award of approximately $4.4 million and four annual renewal options totaling $21.6 million over 41 months. DRC currently supports the program as a subcontractor, with approximately $1.3 million in annual revenue.

The Electronic Systems Center (ESC), headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Massachusetts, is responsible for the development, acquisition and support of the Air Force integrated Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance system being built on the Defense Information Infrastructure. DRC is one of the largest suppliers under ESC's information technology services program--evaluating system requirements, providing software development and test services, integrating products into airborne and ground weapons systems and providing management services for ESC program offices.
