Dynamic modeling of potassium and chloride in the recovery area.

Application: This study supports efforts to control non-process elements in closed cycle mills.

As kraft pulp mills increase their degree at internal recycle NPEs (non-process elements) accumulate, causing potential operating problems. "Kidneys," used for the controlled removal of NPEs, can help maintain efficient operation of a highly closed kraft mill. It is critical to determine the dynamic effect of process changes on NPE NPE NullPointerException (Java)

levels in order to optimize closure strategies and evaluate different "kidney" options.

A dynamic full-mill model was built to represent general dynamic kraft mill behavior regarding the build up of non-process elements. We used it to test different mill recycle schemes and "kidney" strategies for NPE removal. The overall mill dynamics are assumed to be controlled by the liquor and pulp storage tanks, while the NPE partitioning between aqueous and fiber phases is determined by equilibrium calculations. An equilibrium module based upon SOLGASW?41'ER software predicts the partitioning of NPEs between the aqueous and fiber phases.

In this first paper, we demonstrate the dynamic impact of potassium and chloride levels on the sticky dust temperature in the recovery boiler Recovery boiler is the part of Kraft process of pulping where chemicals for white liquor are recovered and reformed from black liquor. In the process lignin of the wood, bound in black liquor at this phase, is burned and heat generated.  due to the shutdown of a NPE chip kidney. Simulation results show that with "normal" K and C1 inputs, art open bleach plant, and no ESP (1) (Enhanced Service Provider) An organization that adds value to basic telephone service by offering such features as call-forwarding, call-detailing and protocol conversion.  dust purge, the temperature at which flue gas dust sticks to metal surfaces lowers from 800[degrees]C to 580[degrees]C in 250 days. In a case with bleach plant filtrate filtrate /fil·trate/ (fil´trat) a liquid or gas that has passed through a filter.

recycle and an ESP dust purge of 16 kg/ton (air dry ton), the sticky dust temperature drops from 760[degrees]C to 700[degrees]C, reaching steady state in 80 days. In a case with high-input chloride levels, a NPE chip kidney can alleviate sticky dust problems in the recovery boiler. The slow process dynamics indicate the NPE chip kidney can be safely shutdown on a periodic basis.
