"Although challenged by the simultaneous startup of operations in multiple locations, the planning and execution by our operations and management teams resulted in successful implementations and once again demonstrated our ability to respond to customer requirements in numerous markets at the same time. Startup costs associated with these additional locations will suppress profitability from the new work during the second quarter, however, our outlook for the full year is unchanged. We expect the new locations to generate normal profitability in future periods."

"This event reinforces our commitment to the national accounts strategy," McClelland added. "It is events like this that drive the significant year-over-year top line and bottom line growth in our outlook and underscores the market potential of our strategy. As the only national provider of same-day transportation solutions in both the United States and Canada, Dynamex can provide large shipper organizations with a broad and flexible same and next day transportation capability. This gives large shippers access to a comprehensive, flexible service menu as well as a single point of contact vs. utilizing numerous local delivery entities."

McClelland concluded, "Because of our service menu and geographic reach, we have a strong value proposition. We also have the sales and marketing resources we need to communicate our message to the marketplace. Our National Accounts program has been very successful and a key reason we have been growing the top line."
