Dynacq International Inc. Acquires Surgi+Group Inc.

Dynacq International Inc. (Nasdaq:DYII) has acquired Surgi+Group. Inc., a privately-held, Houston-based surgery center development company.

The acquisition of Surgi+Group Inc. gives Dynacq International Inc. immediate access to surgery center acquisition and development opportunities previously developed by Surgi+Group Inc. The acquisition also brings to Dynacq a seasoned development executive, Irvin T. Gregory, who will continue to serve as president of Surgi+Group Inc., now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynacq.
