Dynacq Announces 100% Stock Dividend.

HOUSTON--(BW HealthWire)--Dec. 30, 1999

Dynacq International Inc. (Nasdaq:DYII) board of directors today approved a 100% stock dividend on all issued common shares held of record as of Jan. 10, 2000. This action follows the reported record setting earnings for fiscal 1998-99.

Chiu M. Chan, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Dynacq, stated, "We are encouraged by the continued growth of the company. The 100% stock dividend falls in line with our commitment to the stockholders." Chan further stated, "It is our intent to encourage wider ownership distribution of Dynacq stock. Our stockholders should be pleased by the present direction of the company."

Shareholders of record will receive their stock dividend certificate after Jan. 13, 2000. Nasdaq trading ex-dividend date Ex-dividend date

The first day of trading when the buyer of a stock is no longer entitled to the most recently announced dividend payment ( i.e. the trade will settle the day after the record date, too late for the buyer to appear on the shareholder record and receive the dividend.
