DynCorp wins $50m Defense Security Service support contract.


Subsidiary will Provide Nationwide Support for Defense Security Service Background Investigations

DynCorp announced recently that it has received a $50 million, three-year contract to help the Defense Security Service (DSS (1) (Digital Signature Standard) A National Security Administration standard for authenticating an electronic message. See RSA and digital signature.

) investigate backgrounds of individuals requesting security clearances. Under this contract, DynCorp will conduct and help process the personal security investigations necessary before a security clearance can be granted. The contract reinforces the position of DynCorp, which supports security clearance processing for several major federal agencies, as one of the largest suppliers of outsourced security clearance processing support.
