Durst organization recognized for leadership in energy field.


David E Bomke, executive director of the New York Energy Consumers Council announced the recipients of the Energy New York Award (ENYA) who were recognized for their outstanding leadership in New York's energy community recently.

 of The Durst Organization, accepted the ENYA on behalf of co-presidents Douglas and Jonathan Durst. The Dursts received the 2006 ENYA award for their long-standing and proven commitment to strengthening energy reliability and economic competitiveness in New York.

The NYECC and its predecessor organizations have successfully saved Con Edison customers billions of dollars through more than five decades of education and regulatory intervention.

Each of the honorees has contributed in different ways to assist in the Council's mission to provide cost saving initiatives to a wide range of large energy consumers in New York City New York City: see New York, city.
