Durometer test block kits obtain accurate readings.

To obtain accurate readings using a durometer, one must develop the proper feel for the gauge, according to the company. The firm's durometer test blocks give the user the ability to develop the proper feel, and while it is not to be used for calibration purposes, it enables the user to perform a quick check for proper durometer operation.

The test blocks are color-coded to correspond with the calibrated durometer value, and they measure 1/4" x 2" x 2". The test block kits come in a sturdy magnetic-latching carrying case with the durometer readings for each block on the inside cover of the case. At an additional cost, a certificate of calibration is also available for users who need documentation of traceability to NIST.

Test block kits are available for durometer types A (seven blocks), D (three blocks) and OO (three blocks). Single test blocks and kits are also available for other ASTM durometer types (B, C, DO, E, M, O, OOO and R), as well as Asker, JIS, DIN and ISO durometer types. Test blocks are compatible with all durometer brands.

Test blocks are calibrated at the company's facility and correspond to durometer values of 30 points to 90 points in increments of 10.
