Vietnam has 600 million barrels of proven oil reserves and exploration continues to lead to additional resources. Completion of the Dung Quat Refinery, located in the center of the country, should lead to greater interaction between the Northern, Southern, and Central regions of the country. Additionally, the Dung Quat Refinery will facilitate export to international markets including the United States, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea.
