An inclined hole infill drilling programme was designed which comprises the following aspects: - Infill drilling to produce a drill hole collar spacing of at least 25m by 25m. The infill drilling programme is being undertaken using both reverse circulation ("RC") and diamond drilling Diamond Drilling is a highly specialized industry used for mineral exploration around the world. Most commonly using wireline and core bits with diamond encrusted matrix. To drill holes to max depths of twelve thousand feet, for the recovery of core used in verifying mineral methods; - 'Grade Control' drilling to produce a drill hole collar spacing to a nominal 12.5m by 12.5m; - Twin drilling of both existing RC and diamond drill holes by the complimentary drilling method (predominantly pre·dom·i·nant adj. 1. Having greatest ascendancy, importance, influence, authority, or force. See Synonyms at dominant. 2. RC/diamond drill hole twins); and - Extension diamond drilling of RC holes where drilling conditions precluded completion to the target drill hole depth. The current planned programme comprises a total of approximately 37,500 metres of drilling (including existing drilling prior to the infill drilling programme), consisting of approximately 10,500 metres of diamond drilling and 27,000 metres of RC drilling. The final size of the delineation drilling programme at Ada Tepe will be governed by assay results as a number of areas require infill drilling to better define zones of high grade gold and silver mineralisation. - This press release summarises available assay results for the drilling programme, corresponding to 142 drill holes: ATDD ATDD Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division ATDD Acceptance Test-Driven Development ATDD Adaptive Time Division Duplexing (LMDS) ATDD Automatic Telephone Disconnect Device 019 to ATD ATD Anthropomorphic Test Dummy ATD Attention to Detail ATD Advanced Technology Demonstration AtD Achieving the Dream ATD Atmospheric Technology Division (US National Center for Atmospheric Research) ATD Assistant Technical Director 036, ATDD073 to ATDD074, ATMET001 to ATMET005, ATRC ATRC Adaptive Technology Resource Centre (Canada) ATRC Assistive Technology Resource Center ATRC Aegis Training and Readiness Center ATRC Advanced Television Research Consortium ATRC Alien Terrorist Removal Court ATRC Against the Rest Crew 055 to ATRC148, ATRC267 to ATRC277, ATRC280 to ATRC291. However, if the hole could not be kept dry or encountered difficult ground conditions it was continued using diamond drill core. RC drill holes completed with diamond tails reported in this release correspond to: ATRC070, ATRC071, ATRC099 to ATRC102, ATRC119, ATRC126, and ATRC139. Assay results for these holes had not been received at the time of the compilation of the press release. In general, average RC sample recoveries approximate 70%, which is considered acceptable. While a review of the recorded diamond drill core recoveries indicates that total core recovery is in the vicinity of 95%. However, variable ground conditions can result in zones of core loss and low RC sample recovery. The laboratory and the technique used were inspected prior to the beginning of the density measurement programme and have been routinely inspected during the current drilling programme. Approximately 3,900 bulk density measurements have been collected to date. Prior to calculating the mineralised intercepts, statistical analysis has been undertaken on the gold assay data in order to determine an appropriate upper cut for reporting purposes. As displayed in the accompanying tables, a 30 g/t Au upper cut has been employed in order to remove the potentially distorting effect of high grade assays in weighted average calculations which form a natural part of the grade distribution throughout the Ada Tepe deposits. The data is presented on a cut and uncut basis. The listed drill hole intercepts have been calculated using the following parameters: - Lower cut off grade: 0.5g/t Au. - Minimum down hole intersection intersection /in·ter·sec·tion/ (-sek´shun) a site at which one structure crosses another. intersection a site at which one structure crosses another. length: 2 metres. - Maximum contiguous Adjacent or touching. Table 1 summarizes selected intercepts for the Wall Zone based on a 0.5 g/t Au lower cut off grade. For the purpose of selection, drill intercepts returning a gramme-metre ("gm_m") value in excess of 40 gm_m (using the cut gold assay value) are tabulated. The gm_m method is an accepted industry analysis used to broadly compare the total metal content between different mineralised intervals, calculated by multiplying mul·ti·ply 1 v. mul·ti·plied, mul·ti·ply·ing, mul·ti·plies v.tr. 1. Only intercepts returning greater than 30 gm_m are displayed. As results were received at the Krumovgrad Project Base, two particularly high grade intercepts were returned from consecutive RC drill holes ATRC117 and ATRC118. Twin drilling of both drill holes, using diamond drilling, was immediately instigated in order to confirm the intersections. The table below compares the metal content of the RC and diamond twin holes by calculating the aggregate gm_m of each hole; as such the results do not represent a continuous mineralised intercept. This method of analysis is considered applicable for demonstrating comparisons between drill holes in high grade epithermal gold deposits. As a result of the numerous high grade values the gm_m data is presented using two sets of parameters, corresponding to: - 0.5g/t Au lower cut with no top cut - 0.5g/t Au lower cut with a 30g/t upper cut.

The gm_m values for both RC holes on an uncut basis are greater than the corresponding gm_m values for both diamond twin holes. However, as anticipated, applying a 30g/t upper cut significantly diminishes the outlier outlier /out·li·er/ (out´li-er) an observation so distant from the central mass of the data that it noticeably influences results. outlier an extremely high or low value lying beyond the range of the bulk of the data. effect. Consequently, there is no significant bias due to drilling method in the upper cut data, with the diamond core hole for one pair (ATDD073 versus ATRC117) returning a higher metal content, while the RC intersection of the other pair (ATRC118 versus ATDD074) returned a higher metal content. In general, other twin holes (ATDD026; ATDD030; ATDD032; ATDD034) completed within the current programme indicate a similar variability. This is a result of RC samples providing a larger more homogenised Adj. 1. homogenised - formed by blending unlike elements especially by reducing one element to particles and dispersing them throughout another substance homogenized blended - combined or mixed together so that the constituent parts are indistinguishable bulk sample as opposed to the smaller diameter diamond core. In addition, and perhaps most importantly Adv. 1. most importantly - above and beyond all other consideration; "above all, you must be independent" above all, most especially , the results are as expected for a high grade epithermal gold deposit, hosting multiple vein and structural orientations at the metre scale. This analysis highlights that the high grade and variable nature of the deposit may warrant the use of upper cuts in the upcoming resource estimate, as was the case in the October 2002 resource estimate. In addition, a follow-up programme of infill drilling and 'scissor' drilling is underway to determine the spatial extent of this high grade mineralised zone. The 'scissor' drilling, which used diamond core, has confirmed that the original drill holes were completed in the appropriate orientation, with the veins having a sub-vertical, northerly dip. The area will be drilled out at a 12.5 metre by 12.5 metre spacing. Jonathan Goodman Goodman was a polite term of address, used where Mister (Mr.) would be used today. Compare Goodwife.
