DUNDEE last night insisted they're ready to claim their next SPL scalp after landing a last-eight Co-op Cup showdown with Rangers.

The First Division side embarrassed Aberdeen earlier this week and are in bullish mood ahead of the visit of Scotland's champions in a month's time.

Defender Jim Lauchlan reckons there's never been a better time to face players he rates as poorer than their Ibrox predecessors.

Dundee are one of the few outfits to have spent any money this season and Lauchlan reckons the gap is closing.
