, a SYSCO subsidiary located in College Park, Ga. Mr. Duncan, who currently is senior vice president of sales for that company, will assume his new responsibilities effective Jan. 1, 2003.

Thomas E. Lankford, SYSCO's executive vice president and president of North American foodservice operations, said Mr. Duncan, 44, began his SYSCO career in 1986 as a marketing associate at the company's Jackson, Miss., operation. In 1990 he transferred to SYSCO's Atlanta subsidiary as district sales manager and progressed to regional sales manager in 1994 and general sales manager in 1998. Mr. Duncan was promoted to vice president of sales in 2000 and the following year he was named to his current position. Prior to joining SYSCO he served as a territory sales manager for The Noxell Corporation, located in Baltimore, and from 1980 to 1983 he was a member of Major League Baseball's Boston Red Sox The Boston Red Sox are a professional baseball team based in Boston, Massachusetts.
