In your article "Will New Jersey Stop at Civil Unions?" [December 5] you failed to cite the organization Garden State Equality as the leading force fighting for our community's full equal rights in the Garden State. As a native New Jersey resident now living in Brooklyn, I have watched with marvel at how their CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , Steve Goldstein, built an organization from scratch in just a couple of short years to become the organizing powerhouse they are today. If any group besides Lambda Legal Lambda Legal (Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund) is a United States civil rights organization that focuses on gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education, and public policy work.  is responsible for the gains made in New Jersey, a state that was never historically a hot-bed of LGBT LGBT Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender  activism, it is Garden State Equality. I wish them well in the months and years ahead as they lead the fight for full marriage equality. Our LGBT brothers and sisters in New Jersey as well as here in New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
