: MO) announced today that Dudley Fishburn John Dudley Fishburn, known as Dudley Fishburn, (born June 8, 1946) is a British journalist and politician.

He studied at Eton and Harvard. He was a business journalist, serving as executive editor for The Economist for seven years.

Mr. Fishburn was a Conservative member of British Parliament from 1988 to 1997. He has served as a member of Harvard University's Board of Overseers and currently chairs the University's Library Committee. He is also chairman of the trustees of the Open University in the United Kingdom. Mr. Fishburn's charitable interests in the United Kingdom include trustee positions with the Prison Reform Trust The Prison Reform Trust (PRT) was founded in 1981 in London, England by a small group of prison reform campaigners who were unhappy with the direction in which the Howard League for Penal Reform was heading, concentrating more on community punishments than on traditional prison , the Liver Research Trust and the Notting Hill Housing Association.

Mr. Fishburn was educated at Eton College in the United Kingdom, and graduated from Harvard College in 1968.
