, with the support of the US Army Redstone Arsenal's Aviation & Missile Research, Development & Engineering Center (AMRDEC AMRDEC Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (US Army Aviation and Missile Command) ), have teamed to develop new minimally intrusive sensor applications for launch vehicle environments. These advanced sensor testbeds are geared towards increasing the reliability and safety of launch vehicle systems by providing in situ In place. This $3.7 million contract between NASA and Miltec paves the way for gathering temperature, pressure and other data in areas of launch vehicles that previously were considered too challenging or risky to measure.
