Ducks unlimited invites artists to submit work.


Ducks Unlimited Ducks Unlimited is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of wetlands and associated upland habitats for waterfowl, other wildlife, and people. It currently has approximately 775,000 members, mostly in the United States and Canada.  (DU), the world's largest wetlands wetlands, low-lying ecosystem where the water table is always at or near the surface. It is divided into estuarine and freshwater systems, which may be further subdivided by soil type and plant life into bogs, swamps, and marshes.  and waterfowl waterfowl, common term for members of the order Anseriformes, wild, aquatic, typically freshwater birds including ducks, geese, and screamers. In Great Britain the term is also used to designate species kept for ornamental purposes on private lakes or ponds, while in  conservation organization, invites artists to participate in its 2006-2007 National Art Selection. DU will choose ten to twelve images to use as signed and numbered limited-edition prints. Selected art will be offered as framed prints exclusively to DU chapters across the country and will help raise vital funds for DU's conservation work. Interested artists should submit one or more images for consideration in the national art package. Image subjects should involve wildlife, particularly waterfowl. All submissions are due no later than April 1, 2005, in the form of a digital image, which may be on a CD, 3 1/2" disc or in an e-mail.
