 after the Ducks defeated Rutgers 30-11, 30-21, 30-13 on Saturday at McArthur Court McArthur Court is a basketball arena located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene. Also known as "The Pit," it is known as one of the toughest arenas in the country for opposing players to play in. The arena is named for Clifton N. .

The victory was the ninth in as many matches for the Ducks, who set a school record with their ninth three-game sweep of the season.

Oregon plays host to Portland on Tuesday with a chance to win its 10th consecutive match and equal an accomplishment shared by the 1984 and 2006 teams.

Gorana Maricic continued a streak of her own in the Ducks' second consecutive victory over the Scarlet Knights, as the junior had 16 kills for her ninth consecutive match with double-figure kill totals.

Sophomore Heather Meyers added 10 kills and hit .533 for the evening. Maricic hit .520.

Rutgers was held to a .039 hitting mark, the fifth time the Ducks have held an opponent under .100 this season.

Oregon State wins

Sacramento State tourney

SACRAMENTO - Freshman Jill Sawatsky's 16 kills helped Oregon State beat Manhattan College 30-18, 30-13, 30-16 and win the Sacramento State Invitational volleyball tournament Saturday.

Beaver sophomore Rachel Rourke was named the tournament's most valuable player, and Sawatsky and junior libero Libero can refer to:
  • Libero (soccer), a more versatile type of centre back in soccer
  • Libero (volleyball), a player specialized in defensive skills in volleyball
  • Mitsubishi Libero, the Japanese market name of the Mitsubishi Lancer wagon
 Ashley Evans made the all-tournament team.

Lane blanks Tacoma

TACOMA - Kori Wilgus and Emily Wagner had two goals and an assist apiece to lead Lane Community College to a 6-0 victory over Tacoma in Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges The Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges commonly called the NWAACC (pronounced N-Wack)is a sports association for Community Colleges in the states Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.  women's soccer play Saturday.

The Titans improved to 2-0-0 in NWAACC NWAACC Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges  games and 3-1 overall with the victory.

Amanda Krumdieck had five saves to record her second NWAACC shutout. Kayla Stewart added a goal and assist.

PORTLAND - Samuel Robinson's 23rd-place finish in the men's race was the top placing for Northwest Christian College Northwest Christian College is a private, liberal arts college located in Eugene, Oregon and is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ.  cross country runners Saturday at the Lewis & Clark Invitational.

Robinson finished the 8,000-meter race in 27 minutes, 26 seconds. Adam Coleman of Claremont won in 25:57.

Jessica Rose finished 44th in 25:41 in the women's 6,000-meter race to lead the Beacons. Lewis & Clark's Amanda Phillips won in 22:05.
