Ducks don't dog it.

Byline: Rob Moseley The Register-Guard

So what do we know about these Ducks?

Through three games, we've seen enough to know this: They're not always flawless. But they'll make fewer mistakes than their opponent, and get big plays on both sides of the ball to overcome their deficiencies.

The latest example was Saturday's 52-21 drubbing of Fresno State before 58,525 in Autzen Stadium The stadium is tucked between the Willamette River and Coburg Hills. The uniquely shaped bowl blends in with the wooded Eugene landscape. The shape also allows for unique acoustics, making it one of the loudest stadiums in NCAA Football for its capacity. , as 19th-ranked Oregon completed an unbeaten three-game nonleague slate. The Ducks enter conference play at Stanford next week a full 180 degrees opposite of where they were nine months ago, following their bowl game embarrassment.

A rivalry game that hadn't been decided by more than a touchdown in recent years was instead decided in little more than a quarter this time. And with Oregon now 3-0, with a scoring margin of 139-55, it's time It's Time was a successful political campaign run by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) under Gough Whitlam at the 1972 election in Australia. Campaigning on the perceived need for change after 23 years of conservative (Liberal Party of Australia) government, Labor put forward a  to wonder how good these Ducks can be.

"Sky's the limit," offered UO quarterback Dennis Dixon Dennis Lee Dixon Jr. (born January 11, 1985 in Oakland, California), is the starting Quarterback for The University of Oregon and is in his Senior season. Dixon was also drafted by the Atlanta Braves on June 7th, 2007 as an outfielder and spent the football offseason in the Braves , who needed just 198 yards of total offense to account for his three touchdowns.

For the second straight week, the Ducks played a game with a snoozer of a second half. But for the second straight week, they supplied enough fireworks fireworks: see pyrotechnics.

There was another scoring play of at least 80 yards, giving Oregon one in each game this season. There were more game-changing plays by the secondary. And for the second straight week, the Ducks had such a comfortable margin in the second quarter that their best offensive lineman, Max Unger, could sit out a series so redshirt red·shirt

The Ducks provided their coach, Mike Bellotti Robert Michael Bellotti (b. December 21, 1950 in Sacramento, California) has been the head coach of the University of Oregon football team since 1995. His accomplishments at Oregon include an 11-1 season and #2 national ranking in 2001. Education

 said with a wide smile.

Stewart scored Oregon's first touchdown on a sweep to the outside, the Ducks attacking the edge of Fresno State's defense early on. They ran a series of end-around runs in the first quarter, and used play action to get the aggressive Bulldog bulldog, breed of thick-set nonsporting dog developed in the British Isles many centuries ago. It stands from 13 to 15 in. (33–38.1 cm) high at the shoulder and weighs from 40 to 50 lb (18.1–22.7 kg).  defense on its heels.

All those runs to the outside set up the biggest play of the game, the play that seemed to finish off Fresno State even though it came early in the second quarter. Stewart took a handoff Switching a cellular phone transmission from one cell to another as a mobile user moves into a new cellular area. The switch takes place in about a quarter of a second so that the caller is generally unaware of it.  and, instead of continuing his path to the outside, cut up the middle for an 88-yard touchdown, a stadium record and the second-longest run in UO history. That made the score 35-6 with more than 10 minutes left before halftime.

"We've been waiting for one of those," Unger said of the breakaway break·a·way

run by Stewart, who finished with 165 yards on 17 carries. "To finally get it is awesome."

Meanwhile, the Oregon defense finally stiffened against the run, allowing 60 yards on 36 carries by a Bulldogs team perhaps still dragging after a triple-overtime loss at Texas A&M the week before. But if that was different for the UO defense, there was also more of the same - a big play by one of the defensive backs.

After Stewart's first touchdown, UO rover Patrick Chung forced a fumble that was collected by cornerback Walter Thurmond III and returned 25 yards for a touchdown. Thurmond added an interception later in the quarter, setting up Ed Dickson's two-yard touchdown reception.

The UO secondary of Chung, Thurmond, Jairus Byrd and Matthew Harper has now accounted for two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and five interceptions in three games, with Thurmond becoming the last of the quartet to get in on a turnover Saturday.

"I was the only one without a takeaway," Thurmond said. "For myself, I was like, 'I've got to get an interception or something.' "

The Bulldogs scored just before halftime to make it 42-14. The only question was whether they could do the same after receiving the second-half kickoff, and thus grab momentum. Instead, the Ducks allowed one first down before forcing a punt, in a quarter that was scoreless for both teams.

A little boring? Sure, but only compared to the show the Ducks put on in the first half. Now, they move on to a game at Stanford that will open conference play. Once picked to finish sixth in the Pac-10, Oregon now seems at worst the league's third-best team, following UCLA's blowout Blowout
