: NBY NBY Not Bad Yourself ) recently announced the addition of Gregory M. Duckett, J.D. of Memphis, TN to the Board of Directors of NBC Capital Corporation and its subsidiary, National Bank of Commerce.

"We are delighted to have Greg Duckett join our board of directors," stated Mallory. "Greg has a long history of leadership and service that will serve our company and shareholders well."

Duckett is Senior Vice President, Corporate Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Memphis, TN, a health care system comprised of over 50 corporate and partnership entities with $1.7 billion in assets. He currently serves on the board of directors of Baptist Memorial Hospital, Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.

After earning a political science degree from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, he received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Memphis State University. Following graduation Duckett worked in the district offices of United States Senator Al Gore including two years as State Counsel. He has served as Director of Public Services, Directory of Housing and Community Development and Chief Administrative Officer A chief administrative officer (CAO) is responsible for administrative management of private, public or governmental corporations. The CAO is one of the highest ranking members of an organization, managing daily operations and usually reporting directly to the chief executive  for the City of Memphis, TN.

An active community leader, Duckett currently serves as chairman of the Shelby County Election Commission. He serves on a number of boards in the Memphis area including the MidSouth Fair, the Tennessee Hospital Association, the Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation, the Wonders, The International Cultural Series, and the National Civil Rights Museum.

Duckett just finished a four-year appointment to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis, Memphis Branch, where he served as Chairman for three years. He has served as hearing officer on the Board of Professional Responsibility for the Tennessee Supreme Court The Tennessee Supreme Court is the highest appellate court of the State of Tennessee. Unlike those of other states, the Tennessee Supreme Court is responsible for the appointment of the state attorney general. . He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, and the American Health Lawyers Association.

He was recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 award from the Memphis Business Journal, The University of Memphis The University of Memphis is a public research university located in Memphis, Tennessee, United States, and is a flagship public research university of the Tennessee Board of Regents system.  Outstanding Young Alumni Award, and the Leadership Memphis Kate Gooch Award for Service to the Community. He was ranked number 10 by BusinessTN Magazine, 50 Most Powerful African Americans in October 2004.

He and his wife, Brenda, have two children, Stephen Gregory and Kelsey Breanna.
