The Country Club Hotel, Dubai is honoured to announce another significant milestone, gaining further recognition by the certification attained by Master Chef Vinod Kumar as the UAE's first WACS ( World Association of Chefs Societies The World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS), is a global network of chefs associations first founded in October 1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris. He received a certificate from WACS (World Association of Chefs Societies) as World Certified Chef. He is the first Senior Member from Emirates Culinary Guild to be awarded the coveted cov·et

Chef Vinod started off his career as an apprentice at Taj Connemara Hotel (part of the prestigious Taj Group of Hotels), Chennai, India. He was then transferred to Taj Sheba Hotel in Sana'a, Yemen in the year 1989 as Chef de Partie and was trained by senior Chefs during his tenure at the Taj till he left the organization as Sous n. 1. A corrupt form of Sou.  Chef. He was also recommended by the management of the Taj Sheba to be sent to France for training in French Cuisine French cuisine is considered to be one of the world's most refined and elegant styles of cooking. The national cuisine known today has evolved from centuries of social and political change. .

In 2004 he moved to UAE and joined Rock Bottom CafE[umlaut umlaut (m`lout) [Ger.,=transformed sound], in inflection, variation of vowels of the type of English man to men. ] in Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi (ä`b thä`bē, zä–, dä–), Arab. In 2006, he joined The Country Club Hotel; Dubai as Executive Sous Chef and in the year 2007 was promoted as an Executive Chef at The Country Club Hotel. Having been in the industry for over 20 years he has pioneered many changes, innovations and concepts in the field.
